Response to COVID-19


During Fall session, Huntington Dance Theatre will be conducting live classes in-studio for our dancers. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we will be following the recommended CDC guidelines for the operation of dance studios. Please read carefully through the guidelines below, so we can keep our families safe AND dancing. We ask that your family strictly adhere to these guidelines.Huntington Dance Theatre is not liable for unintentional exposure or harm due to COVID-19.


  1. Families are asked to drop off students at the front doors no sooner than five minutes before class begins. You will be greeted at the door and we will take your temperature with a contactless thermometer. If you would like to volunteer for door check-in (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, Sundays) please text the studio phone (304) 522-4230. We appreciate it!!!

  2. Upon entering, everyone must wear a mask, and you will be asked to stop and sanitize.

  3. If you are running a temperature, or have in the last 24 hours, please do not attend class. If you or a family member feels ill, please remain at home. classes during Fall session are available virtually via Zoom by request. Please email huntingtondance1981@gmail.com to notify us that your dancer will be attending class virtually. Class links can be accessed in the Parent Portal.

  4. Families are asked to remain in cars and outside of the building. Our lobby areas are closed.

  5. Students are asked to come dressed for class land with only their own water bottle and shoes. Our changing rooms and downstairs warm-up space are closed.

  6. Restrooms will remain open, but will be monitored and cleaned before, during, and after classes. Hand washing is required.

  7. Staff will be cleaning all door handles and stereo/sound equipment, as well as using a sanitizing mist after all students have left the classrooms between and after classes. If you want to volunteer to clean, please text the studio phone (304) 522-4230. We appreciate it!!!

  8. During classes, we are requiring face coverings for students. Masks will be provided for students if needed. Teachers, students, and volunteers are required to wear masks while traveling in, around, and out of the studio.

  9. We are encouraging social distancing between dancers before, during, and after class. Floors are taped off to encourage this as well an individual chair for each dancer, and place for their shoes and water bottle. It is very important to talk with your dancer about maintaining social distance inside and outside the studio to reduce the chances of any spread.

  10. We are accepting payments through the Parent Portal at this time to eliminate the touching of cash and checks. It is very easy to set up. Let us know if you have any questions.
